Carol, who worked for a retail photography company before retirement, passed away Feb. 17, 2024, in Plymouth, Minn., where she lived 42 years and enjoyed the lakes, the winters and the Vikings, North Stars, Wild, Twins and Gophers.

Born in Honolulu to Col. David and Evelyn Nye, she was married John D. Parod, a family practice physician. They raised three children, John, David and Amy. 

Carol’s hobbies were photography, playing tennis, and being the #1 fan at every sporting event and activity of her children and grandchildren. She volunteered in youth sports: baseball, football, hockey, soccer, softball. In retirement she golfed, played tennis and took care of her triplet grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Amy; son, John (Kris); grandchildren Kellyn, Jamie and Tommy; sister-in-law Joan (Gerry) Kremer and family. She was preceded in death by husband John and son David.
